ambabbitt commits to:
spend more time with my animals by devoting one hour a day to giving them one-on-one attention. This could include taking the dog for a walk, playing with the cats or holding the rats. The time can be split into smaller durations (15, 30, and 45 minutes) but must add up to a total of 60 minutes per day.

| There was a lot of rain this week, making it hard to take the dog for a walk and play in the yard. I maintained my focus and put my energy into the cats and the rats. The rats got to explore the bathroom and have finally been running up onto my shoulder. The cats have been playing with the laser light. I bought them wheat grass and have been putting more energy into enhancing their environment. This has been a great goal although at times I have to prioritize it due to my heavy work load. It was a good choice for a goal because it benefits the animals while also encouraging me to take time to do something fun during the semester. | |

| This week I found myself giving attention to the animals naturally without the task feeling like a huge ordeal. I wasn't scrambling to make the hour happen at 11pm. It seems to be a task that I have successfully worked into my schedule. That was the point of the goal. My animals are happy as well. I take the dog on a walk everyday. She expects it now. My rats come to the front of the cage in excitement. When I started this goal they spent most of their time hiding. | |

| This week has been easy up until yesterday. I had school work and an event to go to. I ended up feeling frustrated because my time was so limited. I've been enjoying my evening walks with the dog and I have found that it refreshes my mind after a long day of grad work. | |
