Maintain a distinct budget for personal spending on Magic Cards.
Build no more than two unfinished decks at any time. Trade, list for sale, or organize for later sale any cards costing more than $3 not in a main-deck, sideboard, or one of my two unfinished decks. Avoid magic on my phone or computer during school working hours.

I should add: avoiding magic on my phone or computer during business hours does allow me to physically organize cards. In some scenarios, that's going to be helpful relaxation. However, I'm not researching cards and I'm not buying, selling, or trading. Additionally, I won't open new cards from the mail until after I have signed off on my day. That means I've closed out whatever I've decided I need to get done during the work day. |
