As discussed with my Referee, I will not be achieving this goal for several reasons. Firstly, since my last Chinese goal I have been busy preparing for a job interview, and I was also on holiday during all of this also for a week. Secondly, I jumped the gun by planning this goal at the same time that I set my previous Chinese goal. My chinese goals have been probably the least succesful of all goals because I am still working out what is an achievable workload. I have determined that the following workload is suitable for future goal setting: Maximum of 75-100 new cards per week with 50% retention of all cards. If I am busy one week and unable to learn new cards, I should instead set a goal of retaining a 50% recall rate of cards I have already learnt to prevent forgetting them. |
