I think you can report it as complete! (Although I guess Mom is the recipient of your stakes, so she'd probably be nice enough to give the money back anyway.)

In conversation the other day someone told me that once their bank account reaches a certain target amount they plan to stop working and spend their time on philanthropy and other worthwhile things. I immediately thought of you and your decision to step away from the bank when you did. You were probably at your prime in terms of earning potential and could have had any number of professional opportunities open to you, but you chose to be near family instead. As a result you were able to spend precious years with Grandma and be there when she needed you the most. What a blessing for you and her!

Thank you for your example of putting first things first, and saying "this is enough" when someone else in your shoes may have only wanted more.

This goal turned out to be more difficult then imagined. Due to mom's health she was not up to camping in the trailer. I actually put a down payment on a trailer and invited them to the dealership to see their new trailer. However, the next day my mom and dad called and said that they both felt that her health was not good enough to justify purchasing the trailer. Therefore I canceled the purchase of the trailer and rented a cabin in the mountains. We went four wheeling and fishing and have a good time. However, grandma was not feeling very well during the trip. I think she came just so Grandpa could have a break from caring for her. It was very selfless of her. The trip ended on a sad note when we had problems with her oxygen machine and she had to be transported to a hospital in Wyoming by ambulance and then life flighted to Salt Lake. this may have been a blessing in disguise's because it alerted the doctors to the fact that her cancer was not in remission and was spreading. As it turned out this was the last opportunity that we had to go camping with grandma and grandpa. I am glad that this goal helped me prioritize doing this with them. it is a bittersweet memory But I am glad that we were able to show them our love by doing this for them and by trying to help them get a trailer and fulfill her dreams. Without the goal I may have procrastinated this until it was too late.

It is too cold right now but I have found a place to rent a trailer when things get warmer. This is something that they are both talking about wanting to do. I think I will surprise them one day. They will think we are going on a trip and staying in a hotel, but I will pull up in a trailer.
