This commitment obviously has done nothing for me. I haven't really lost any weight. I need to get more serious about it and be honest with myself. I talk about wanting to lose weight, but don't really put much effort into it. I can't figure out how to cancel a commitment on this website, but I want to change my commitment. I want to go to yoga three times a week (I'm currently going two days a week). Yoga makes me feel better about my body and encourages me to eat healthier foods. Also, I keep a daily food journal. I think it would help me to post my food journal on here, rather than writing it in a private notebook. Its my embarassing food binges that keep me from losing weight, so maybe posting my food journal for you (mom) to read would make me think twice about what I put in my mouth.

Hey Laura- It's supposed to be a beautiful week, weather-wise, so I hope you get out for some good fast walks and your yoga of course. On Sunday morning Dave and I saw so many people out walking on the track across from Cafe Vino. A number of them looked like college students. Even though the track could seem kind of boring, it must not be too bad since so many people were out there, either alone or w/a friend. Maybe it would nice to walk there since other people are doing the same thing; it's probably encouraging. I hope your Monday is going OK! Love, Marm

I missed my goal weight this week but I am definitely not disappointed in myself.I haven't had the urge to binge this entire week. That's a huge change for me. Sure, sometimes I get the urge but work hard to ignore it...but not even getting that craving is very different for me and I think its a sign of improvement of my attitude towards food. And I did yoga two days this week, which I LOVE :)

Hi Laura-
Sorry to hear you're not dropping lbs right now. I hope you make time to get out walking (fast) or something to help rev your metabolism. I think someday you'll find out how much difference that will make, but I know that won't be until your good and ready to accept that that's the key to weight loss and weight maintenance that you don't want to deal with. I hope you have a better week---I think you will!
