This week I legitimately failed to hit my goal weight. Not like the 2 weeks I couldn't report because I was at sea. This week I just didn't get it done. I could sit here and make up plenty of excuses but I'd still just be pissing into the wind. I've got some work to do this week coming up and that's about all there is to it. Time to get to it, breaking 280 this week for the first time in almost 4 years. |

I'M FINALLY DOING IT!!!! I broke 285! YAY! I also dropped down a belt hole recently so that's good too. I was super good on my diet all week and got to the gym 4 days for some really good workouts. It was just a great week overall. So now I just need to keep it going for... ah... 13 more weeks. ya... |

So now that I'm back from 2 weeks at sea I can actually make updates and shit on here. I don't know what my weight has been doing while I've been gone but I'm assuming that I've now been plateaued at 285 for the last 4 weeks. It's certainly not one of those "I have no idea why I'm plateaued" type of plateaus. I know for sure what it is. It's a mental issue of 285 being my ultimate playing weight. When I was 285 I was kicking ass on the football field but now I'm trying to do other stuff so I need to get my head wrapped around that.
Update to goal: By visual assessment I am around 25% body fat. That means I'm carrying around 71 pounds of fat. My goal is to lose 35 more pounds which would ideally take it down to 36 pounds making me 14%. 14% is a really good point for me to get to and it's a sustainable, real life level. With things going on in my life and plans that I have it will probably get lower but it certainly won't get higher when I reach my career goals.
Update to plan: I will be in the gym every day I work from now on. Also, with spring coming on, I am going to buy a bike to commute to work. My diet needs to get cleaned back up as well. I was doing really well before christmas, and then it went to shit. I got it back a bit during January and early February but I really need to hit it hard for March. I've got 3.5 weeks until my birthday and I want to be below 280 lbs. that week. Also, my weekend firefighter training will help quite a bit I believe.
Anyway, long post but that's all for today. |

Technically I'm at 3.75 lbs per week but that 300 start weight was a little artificially inflated so it's actually like 2.5 lbs. So if I can keep that pace going I will hit my goal a little ahead of schedule because I need to be at 2.18 lbs and I started about 5 lbs ahead of what I said I did so yeah. A little more than what you asked for but there it is anyway. |
