Today, I truly realized that I do have a thankless job, and no one is ever going to realize all that I do. They don't even know how to keep track of their own time and responsibilities, so I am taking control of all that I can. I am going to work harder, for myself, and not for others. I will take it upon myself to ensure that all company operations run smoothly, at least all that are within my control. I will also have respect for the leaders of the company. They are so busy, that they don't have time to think clearly; that's my job. I am supposed to make sure that they have everything they need, have all info, and sometimes, I will have to think for them. My job is to be everyone's assistant, and to attack and solve any problems that arise within the company and that lie within my control. I am defining my job, without overstepping any boundaries. There are things that I cannot control, but the things that I can will run smoothly and efficiently. I will take joy in putting out all fires. It really is a great feeling when I've helped everyone, and extinguished the fire, no matter how big or small. At the end of each day, I will be able to look back on all of the issues that I resolved and be able to then go home and relax. Above all, I will reflect Christ with my attitude. He was a Servant, which is what my job is. He brought kindness, compassion, and patience and that is what I will bring as well. I can and will do this. Shine brightly, Deanna Joy, shine brightly.
