Recognizing that executive function/planning is not your strong point from 2 posts ago, shows your inner strength, honesty, and is a part of finding the best balance you need to be successful.👍 |

You are thinking ahead and working on alternatives & want you want to do next while sticking with this difficult, demanding job in an area where many teachers only last 2 years, 5 with an advanced degree in teaching, an area with a shortage of good, experienced people to mentor you and this while you do not have s how to teach, how to manage a classroom, how to lesson plan, or any teaching/education formal training/classes. Very proud of you while you continue your journey to find the right parh/balance for you. No $ to bad causes, no punishment! Love u😘 |

Hi Nolan - I think you have accomplished your goal on working as a teacher ( I wouldn't pay any money on this). Unfortunately, you do not get to pick the classes you teach, nor do get to pick your schedule, the tools that the school uses, and other things that would make you more effective. You can only play the hand that's dealt you. Try to find balance that 1. keeps you healthy (you need to rest, shower, brush teeth and do other basic care), and 2, does the best that you can in the hours you want to work (just say I'm going to do as much as I can by hour x, then I am going to bed). You didn't set up the inefficient system, and you can;t single-handedly fix it. Just do the best best you can in a reasonable work day/work week. If it's not perfect, well that's not all in your control and you should just let it go. I do think this is a tremendous learning experience, and not at all a failure/not aligned to your goal. It will help you figure out your next role and ask better questions on the next one too (and you now have a bar set that you can refer to - i.e. "at least it's not as bad as Comer..."). Love You! |
