Week 1 - 4433 words (Chapter 5) Week 2 - 4337 words (Chapter 6) Very happy with weeks 1 and 2 and how this accountability booster has helped make me write more. I had a ton of writer's block this week, which looking back, I think stemmed from me spending a lot of time thinking about the plot and where the story is going, which is good for the long-term but not as good for short-term writing goal... Fortunately last night, I just sat down for four hours and was able to write Chapter 6 using pen and paper. 4000 words in under 24 hours! I don't normally write with pen and paper, but I think I'm going to continue doing this - this week. I write a few hundred words and then type them. I also often write to a song on repeat. This week's whole chapter was written to Johnny Cash's song, Hurt. I will be working on chapter 7 this week, which is the end of part one of the book! |

I wrote 2500 words this weekend, which I'm happy about! My favorite sentence: "Just because nothing is true that doesn’t mean that everything means nothing." I have about 1000 words left in this chapter, which I'm hoping to finish tomorrow. This week, I'm working on a new chapter (4000 words). |
