This week was a little more challenging but I was still able to be successful with my goal which is really exciting. I think this week was so challenging because of the holiday and how busy I was. I was out of town for most of the days this week so remembering to do these simple things was difficult at times but with my app reminding me it was actually really helpful.
I have noticed the spiritual high that I have been on since making this such a priority in my life which has been really special to me. I have felt closer to my Heavenly Father and our Savior especially in these past few weeks when I have been faced with hard life decisions. As I’m graduating in a few weeks it has been important to me that I pass my classes, I find a place to live, I get the job that I want, etc. I know those things wouldn’t be possible without the help of our Heavenly Father. I am also way more aware of all the little things that I should be grateful for in my life so that has been a true blessing.

I have made some serious progress this week I feel like. Last week was kind of hard getting into the swing of things with praying twice a day and making sure that I wrote down one thing I was grateful for today. Making sure to pray in the morning was the hardest part because I could never remember or I would wake up so late that I would be scrambling to run out of the house.
This week I have managed to pray at least twice a day, if not more! It was kind of surprising because after I made this goal, my bishop challenged me to pray 4 times a day and write in my journal without even knowing that I was working on this project.
I have been consistent with my goal this week through and I am really proud of myself and I have seen the changes that this small detail has made in my life so far.

I was really excited to start this project because I feel strongly that increasing how often I pray and pointing out the small details in my life that I should be grateful for would increase my happiness and wellbeing in general. I did really well with praying every single night this first week, it was just the morning prayers that I struggled with. I started to put a sticky note on my phone that said “Pray” every night before bed so when I turned off my alarm in the morning I would see that reminder. It worked a few times but I still need to increase that behavior in the morning time. I also struggled with this on Friday and Saturday because I felt so busy.
I designated a page in my journal to write down at least one thing I was particularly grateful for that day and I wrote the date next to it. I was pretty good at this because I have a habit of writing in my journal every night so I always saw the reminder when I opened it.
Just being tired in the morning is my biggest determent from remembering to pray but I do see the changes this behavior has already made in my life and I’m excited to keep getting better.
