Draw Boruto character

I want to be able to draw Boruto character from scratch by using reference photos. The proportions should be valid and the drawing can be simplistic but should have a proper facial features, and the pose of the character should be dynamic.

It is not perfect. I admit all december i have been slacking off. In january i have started using drawthebox.com (and i will return to it). In the middle of january i have been using differnet anatomy courses. All in all i can say (strangly) that i have not drawn a single boruto drawing since the beginning of january. While studying the anatomy i have acquired knowledge that now i can use for all humanoid characters and hopefully for all my future drawings. The drawing i attach isnt perfect but i can honestly say that i have taken a reference picture, drawn an anatomy of the body in a semi-dynamic stance and with really simplistic face features (one thing i did not practice very well during my challenge). All in all i believe i have made a tremendous progresss thanks to stickk challenge. I was really working on my skill every day and now i feel i can go the next mile and learn more about character drawing. I am proud of myself :) |

| I have started from drawing a human figure and it was going pretty good, until I have realized that without a strong foundation I can only learn to make a lousy drawings. I am currently using https://drawabox.com to learn the basics until the end of the 1st week of December. Next I will be following skillshare.com course "Figure Drawing - Comprehensive Guide to Expressive Life Drawing", and also a Udemy "Character Art School: Complete Character Drawing Course" to get a rough idea on how to draw a human form. The last thing will be simplification to get the manga style drawing of Boruto character by going through "How to draw manga: basics" book. I will be trying to dissect the knowledge so that it all can be done until the end of December. Of course knowing how people are at estimating the length of completing a planned project I have added another month to the deadline, but so far I am practicing drawing every day and with my pretty decent skill of dissecting the knowledge to only the essentials that I really need I guess I will be able to finish early. I will commit to make more journal entries - at least once a week on Monday. I also hope to post some drawings as soon as I get through the practicing phase (first lessons of drawabox course). | |
