i have nothing to say. i studied so much for metrics and still left out bai. now i have four days left and don't feel like i've started to review the FOUR different professors' worth of material that will be covered in friday's cert. at this point, slacking isn't really an option. the point is the level of productivity. this will be my goal for this week: wake up a little bit earlier, go to sleep a little bit later, and make it count a lot more in between. it is easy to 'work' the whole day and not be very effective, so that is this week's challenge. tomorrow: 'finish' stiglitz cert i started, do a review of stiglitz?, review xavier, do 2 certs for xavier. :(

too tired to type up much. trying to study for metrics but am so tired and frustrated bc i still can't seem to fucking solve a lagrange multiplier problem, even though that's basically all we do in micro and macro (i seem to be able to do it in macro, but not micro or metrics). i need to figure out this simple math technique. guess i'm too tired though, so i'll go to bed. four days til certs. planning on doing problems out of hayashi and doing what cert problems we have. also plan on reading my review sheets each night before bed.

Out of the goals I wrote about last week, I completed most though not all. I read Ch 5 Salanie (at least most of it), the parts of Ch 6 Hayashi that we covered, finished the 3 psets that were due, and reviewed the Bai material and completed 2 Bai exams and began a third. This week, aside from 3 psets again, I want to read Ch 4 Hayashi, finish the Bai cert I started, and read the Stiglitz papers...ways to improve: I should try waking up and getting out of the house just a little earlier on the weekends, and I did shirk Thurs afternoon. Also, group work should def be limited to quiet areas, where we can collaborate only when really needed.
