I am going to add a section on this to the awareness record to create more consistency around it. I have come to think that it is unrealistic to have something to say on behavior analysis every day, at least when I don't consume behavior analytic literature on a daily basis. When this commitment is over, I am going to update it to one on reading or reacting to something related to behavior analysis, whether it be a study, a book, an article on Operants, or just recording a behavior note on it. In fact, I might just begin to do that as of this week. Perhaps then I'll have one successful period. |

Some ground rules for this one. First, the record and evidence of my accomplishing this goal daily will be the presence of the recording in my cellphone with the date and time stamp on it. In addition to that, upon completing each recording, I will send it to my referee through WhatsApp, creating an even more permanent and incontrovertible record. The conditions for success is the presence of at least six recordings by the end of each reporting period. Yes, six. On this one I am allowing myself one day of failure. I am not confident I have enough to say on the topic of behavior analysis to make a substantive recording each day, in part because I have not been reading up on the cannon for a long time. This is one step toward changing that. The conditions for success is the presence of at least six recordings at the end of each reporting period. The recordings must be at least one minute. I will do the best I can to make them at the same place and time every day. The lack of ideas as to what that place and time will be portend how successful I'll be at that. I also might write some musings on what I record here, though it is not required, and with caution, since I don't need people plagiarizing my ideas (if they are worth plagiarizing). |
