All in all it's been a good week but I'm going to give myself a marginal pass, this week - I don't want the fact that I've put a pound on, this week, to discourage me, as I've achieved well in the activity areas of this commitment.
The fact remains that, as yet, I am still on track to get to my goal weight in 3 weeks' time. So, plenty of walking this week - but I did have a big weekend alcohol wise. On the plus side, I won the Family Golf Tournament, at the weekend, and I'm starting to take 'Brain Food' to help my memory. Walking at lunch-time is becoming a habit I want to keep, which is great news.

A good week! I have walked at lunch time when I can and at the weekend. I have also managed to keep my alcohol intake low - amazingly didn't have glass of wine with my sister when I met her for lunch yesterday. Being with my sister is a massive cue for me to have a drink, so this is a huge step forward. I've had a lot of water ( for me any way) and tracked my calorie and water intake. As a result, when I weighed myself this morning, I discovered I have lost 3 lbs in weight this week - which I am over the moon about!
So to the scores - which I'll grade like my Stop Wasting Money Commitment:
1) Walk at lunch time : Grade B, 2) Walk/Play Tennis/Gig: Grade C, 3) Weight Loss: A+. Therefore, I give myself the following Grade: B

How can something with such a positive outlook, feel so negative today! I'm in a really bad place today after really letting myself down yesterday on the drinking-front! All the things I despise about myself are thundering around in my head today and I can't think straight. I'm wondering if I need to see someone professionally to help me get through whatever it is I'm so troubled about...I just can't pin-point what it is but there is something deep-down that doesn't feel right, making me unhappy and I end up sabotaging myself big-time. I can't stand myself today!

So far so good. It's Day 2 and I've succeeded in walking a mile (1.64km) around the block 2 days in a row. I have an app MapMyWalk which is linked into My FitnessPal so I can record what I'm eating and my activity at the same time. What could possibly go wrong.....

In association with the book, 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear, I'm aiming to set up some CUES that have a location and time aspect to them. For instance, when I've finished my lunch I'll put on my Skechers and go for a walk around the block where I work. In the evenings or at weekends I need to say once I get home I'll change into my walking gear and go for a walk before dinner. If I'm playing tennis or have a band rehearsal that will happen anyway as it's planned, but it still counts.
