Stop excessive snacking after dinne... Star this Commitment
Day 27 of 27

tammytooter commits to:
I commit to stop excessive snacking after dinner. A single portion of a dessert is acceptable after dinner, as indicated by the recipe or package's serving size. Impromptu desserts, i.e. those I might create without a recipe, are not allowed when an objective serving size cannot be determined. Fruit may be eaten as a dessert at 1 cup serving size. Other than that, milk and carrots are the only foods that may be eaten if still feeling hungry. Daily reports will report on the previous night.

Last night was the first night I had no food at all after dinner, and I didn't have to fight the urge to continue eating - which suggests to me I'm making progress in breaking the habit

I complied with the rules laid out in my commitment, however I feel like I found a loophole that should be corrected from here on out. For my dessert, I made pancakes, and ate the amount indicated by the recipe's serving size. But the recipe assumes it is being consumed as a meal, not as an after-dinner treat, so I think the serving size was not appropriate. From here on out, no after dinner meals, like breakfast foods. Only a single-serving snack or dessert, or any amount of carrots and milk.

Conner and i decided that a single serving of a healthier snack could be considered a "dessert" after dinner, so that the rules don't encourage desserts over healthier options. I ate 1 string cheese after dinner last night.
