This is really key and can go a long way. Ideally done first thing in the morning when you immediately wake up before your left-brain has time to boot up and initialize, you can get your right-brain to just dump and bunch of stuff. I usually will get up and make a tea and sit down at my writing table and just start writing. I guess there is really nothing wrong to write about, but I am unsure about the actual act of a brain-dump, I always kinda write it in a journal~esque format and might be what I did yesterday and what I want to improve or do today, a dream journal-type entry if my dream is really fresh and sticking around or has some big event that happened that I can't stop thinking about, or some dreams and aspirations that are on my mind. But it helps to get it out on paper so you don't have to revisit the stuff you don't need to (like any negative thoughts or self-doubt or whatnot). Good luck!! I'm just getting back into it after a year off, so hope to get back into the groove and maybe figure out where that balance is between journalling and brain-dumping Cheers! Bunny |
