Mike,
After your text I did indeed go home. From 1:30 to 3:30 I biked. If you Google it, you could find the Rockingham Rail Trail which has a terminus in Newmarket (meet be just over the town line in Newfields, NH). I biked from there to Epping at route 125, took a short break and returned home.
Felt good to be outside and mostly had the trail to myself. Thoroughly enjoyable. A bit tired afterwards but only a bit.
If you shop for a bike, check out Specialized's Crossroads 3.0 - price on their web site is $1050. I have enjoyed the one I have for over 3 years now (including when I weighed nearly 350). It is a sturdy and versatile trail bike (not meant for 'stump jumping' as a rugged mountain bike; not meant for competing in road races as a hi-performance road bike). Great value, easy to maintain.
