| Good to take a break sometimes. Very useful to keep in mind how long I have taken a break, and that it doesn't go on too long. It's also good for motivation and momentum. It can feel like I've lost all momentum and progress, even though it's just been a week that I took off. I have been spending a lot of time, in general, on poker in addition to my FT job. Therefore, I feel this is acceptable, and I am more likely to return to the task feeling refreshed and encouraged, rather than discouraged. | |

| Remember to not only focus on making +EV decisions while playing poker, but also TAG hands to review. I should realize that if I make a mistake in a prior hand, it can be tilting. Being able to tag the hand, however can be reassuring because I am being proactive about something I can control, making a note about review for the future, rather than stewing in anger after a mistake with no actions to take regarding the mistake. | |
