I got the next chapter read, but it was rather short, so I’ll go ahead and get started on the next one. It finally feels like I’m getting ahead of my goals. I think I’ll try to keep this up. It’s easier to get things done when I’m a bit ahead of the curve. |

Dammit, I did this last minute again. Idk why I keep doing this, because reading a bit each day is always easier than doing this in one sitting. I think it may be because I’ve structured this goal around one chapter each week instead of, say, a page or two each day. I was kind of afraid to do it that way since I don’t always have time on my work days to read, but I probably could have pulled it off. I made a goal with another book to get the whole thing done by Saturday and I’m not really expecting to succeed, so I guess I’ll owe money to the NRA, which is balls. Maybe this is a lesson learned? |

Okay, I cut that one a little close. I finished the first chapter pretty easily, but I was really busy this week and barely got that second one read. I took pictures of it and read it on my phone, so I missed a page, and since I’m at work, I can’t really do any of the exercises right now, but at least I got it read. I think I’m going to have to stop trying to read it at work, though. It’s getting so we stay busy here, and I can’t really read things like I used to. There’s just not enough time anymore. |

Okay, it felt good to finally read some from that book. I’ve had it for a long time now, but I kept putting it off and putting it off, putting it off... I don’t know what happened to me that made me so nervous about trying to create art and teach myself how to do better, but I think that holding myself accountable to my art is a good first step to getting myself back on track. I’ll definitely use this app to make more art goals, but I’m starting small first. |
