As we approach the end of May, I’m absolutely flat-out with work to complete this week. I’ve even had to rope in Terry to help with a client’s website. When we get paid for that job, I’ll put that money straight into the Holiday fund.
I’ve been a bit frivolous this month by ordering some PommyGranites mugs for merchandising the band and spent more on my hair, my sister’s birthday present and some toiletries than I intended.
There will not be much left in my current account by the end of the week but I’m hoping that I can invoice for a fair amount from the work I’m doing his month to make me feel a bit better about that. I felt compelled to buy Bitdefender security software this week as my emails got hacked so I don’t feel my system is very safe. I think that was a good decision for my business though.
So here are my scores for the past week (70% to pass):
1) Current Account in Credit in its Own Right: 90% (B+)
2) Keep Remorseful / Frivolous / Wasteful Spend to a Minimum: 80% (B)
3) Full Payment by Customers / Family / Band*: 100% (A)
(*This is where I've sent an invoice/asked for payment)
Therefore, I award myself the following Score/Grade: 86% (B) Pass |

It's the midway point of May and I'm ok financially. My clients are all paid up so far and I'm on track with my spreadsheet.
I have had one frivolous moment and that was to order some mugs for the band (The PommyGranites), but I just really felt like doing it and it wasn't expensive.
As there's not much to report, I'm going straight to the scores for last week:
(70% is the pass mark).
1) Current Account in Credit in its Own Right: 100% (A)
2) Keep Remorseful / Frivolous / Wasteful Spend to a Minimum: 80% (B)
3) Full Payment by Customers / Family / Band*: 100% (A)

Therefore, I award myself the following Score/Grade: 93% (B) Pass

Again I'm going to have to be quick this week as I'm really busy work-wise and feel like I'm wasting every second I'm not on it!
I feel pretty organised financially at the moment but I have the end of the Maternity Cover contract coming up at the end of the month so that means I won't have my regular £300 coming in. Hopefully, because of the other work I have on the go, that shouldn't be too much of a dent in my income.
I have one outstanding invoice from a customer who normally pays really quickly but I know they have some family pet issues at the moment, so I don't want to push too hard on that - it's a small amount anyway, so I've given them an extension. If I don't receive it this week I'll chase one more time and them stop dealing with them. Which would be a massive shame as they were my first official customer.
I've bought a couple of tops for Jubilee gigs but they were cheap (and nasty) and throw-away items, so I'm not worried about them.
So, to the scores:
1) Current Account in Credit in its Own Right: 100% (A)
2) Keep Remorseful / Frivolous / Wasteful Spend to a Minimum: 100% (A)
3) Full Payment by Customers / Family / Band*: 90% (B)
(*This is where I've sent an invoice/asked for payment)
Therefore, I award myself the following Score/Grade: 97% (B+) Pass
