I had an ok week. I felt tired most night and thus turned in early enough to get 8 hours of sleep almost every night. I woke up at 4 or so many nights, I don't know why. Not sure if my sleep quality is good. But at least I'm getting ready to turn in between 9:30 and 10ish and mostly sleeping before 11.
That helped with my cravings. I had almost no cravings this week. I started to have fruit salad after lunch these days as seasonal fruit are available and just so yum. Still doing protein at breakfast (peanut butter and cheese), lunch (chicken or turkey breast) and dinner (pork or chicken or eggs), and of course lots of veggies: cooked at lunch, fresh salad veggies for dinner, with a mixed dressing of hummus and coriander yogurt sauce, and fruit salad after lunch and after dinner, as well as an apple and some nuts as a snack in the afternoons.
I'm also drinking lots of water and quit coffee. Now mostly drinking green tea with mint in the morning and herbal tea in the afternoon.
This week, after dinner, I'd have like a scoop or half a scoop of ice cream. I found that putting the sweet things, the fruit salad and the ice cream, in a small ball helps me feel satisfied with a small serving.
For physical activity, it was mostly walking to and from work (~20min each way) and around the main buildings etc at work. So by and large, I'd do about an hour of walking divided. Having felt tired and sleepy in the evenings this week, I didnt get a chance to go for walks after dinner.
At some point, I will start incorporating full body weight training 2-3 times a week to help build muscle/reduce muscle loss.
The weight I lost this week is 0.4kg, which is closer to the plan I had to begin with, around half a kilo a week. If I keep up this rate, I'll be under 30 BMI i.e. 76kg at 24 September weigh in. Again, I need to remember not to rush this as my aim is to get to a healthy weight in a sustainable way that teaches me new ways of eating, compensating when you've had a rich meal, coping with stress/tension, being active and getting rest, as well as teaches my body what being full feels like and how to stop eating before that, and true physical hunger vs habitual/busy mouth/bored eating etc.
I am finally, officially, under 80kg πŸŽ‰ first goal attained! Next goal is 76kg in 8 weeks 😁 I'm so happy and proud of myself for doing this for me, and grateful my family is following suit, making meal time easier.

I had a week of chocolate every night; I kept going to bed later and later and then having cravings for chocolate desserts all day. Still, by and large I kept my eating habits healthy and no liquid calories, and lost 0.2kg. I was hoping for a whole kilo but it's good I didn't gain any.
I also haven't walked as much as the past three two weeks because of heatwave then rain. I want to go back to losing 1 kg per week; so I'll try to walk 1 hour everyday and get 8 hours of sleep every night.
I'll also try to remember to take body measurements every week or two so when the needle doesn't move, at least I can notice size measurements changes.
I'm so proud of myself for doing this for me. I can be more comfortable in my body and my outfits again.

I exceeded my goal for last week πŸŽ‰ I'm trying to be careful not to lose too much too quickly. I've had meals at home, focused on protein and salad, but having bread and in the morning and some starch at lunch Sunday and Monday to make sure my body doesn't stop burning due to too low calorie intake. I've allowed myself two to four chocolate squares of my favorite 75% Salted and mint chocolate these past three/four days. I'm trying to make sure I drink a lot of water, and I need to refocus on getting 8 hours of sleep. I didn't walk much today due to work and the heat wave. I'm proud of myself.
P.S. I just found out I need to lose 4kg more to go from BMI obese to overweight. If I continue at my current rate, I might hit that as early as 4 weeks in my August 13 check-in. Then it's a trip to 64kg for normal BMI. For now, first goal was under 80, and second goal is 76, then 10% less from there. πŸŽ‰πŸ˜

I've had a challenging day. I'm sad and all I wanted was to drink it away. I managed to reason my way out of it and learn to cope with those emotions again without food and drink. I had a veggie and meat dinner and a fruit salad, and I allowed myself 4 pieces of chocolate because I truly enjoyed them. I'm turning in and it's a bit late. My weigh in is tomorrow. Good luck me πŸ€—
