After so much turmoil and frustration, I think I've found a routine that will finally work. I'm proud of myself. |

I tidied last night and this morning. Doing it back to back like that is nice sometimes. If I don't finish everything at night I can pick back up in the morning without having to stare at the mess I left. I really think tidying in the morning is the key. I feel SO much more elevated and content when I can come home from work knowing I don't have to clean.
Doing 20 minutes instead of 30 minutes also helps. I can get quite a lot done in that time, and 20 minutes sounds less daunting than 30 so I'm more apt to initiate the task. |

I nearly didn't tidy on Sunday, but once I got started, it was easy and rewarding. It's all about initiative. Getting started is the most important step.
I really like this new strategy - 20 mins Mon-Thurs and then 1 hr on Sunday. I'm going to try that again this week. |

So I think tidying in the morning might be the key to this goal. I know it's too early to be sure, but so far it feels good. I've tidied in the morning twice and simply moment to moment I am enjoying the tasks more than when I tidy after work. |
