Here we go, here we go. i’ll just continue with code academy and then Sunday morning I’ll play around a little. So far, I’ve learned that you can use any tag. But what about actual commands? color: (color name), font-family: (font name), I guess I’ll need a list of font names in front of me. And text-transform? That was seemingly random. Now ID Name, which is used when an element needs to be styled uniquely. <h1 id=“large-title”> … </h1> CSS can then select HTML elements by their id attribute by prepending hashtag #. So selecting the above element in the CSS file would look like this: #large-title { } looks like text-transform uses uppercase and capitalize, but capitalize means just the first letter of each word is capitalized. Uppercase means that all letters are changed to uppercase. CSS can select HTML elements by their tag, class and ID. Classes and ID’s have different purposes which can affect which one you use. Classes are meant to be used with multiple elements. ID is meant to style only one element. ID’s override the styles of tags and classes. Use sparingly because of this and only on elements that need to always appear the same. Ok, I have to go now, have a meeting I need to prepare for.
