do ankle exercises every morning to accelerate recovery. Also do a warmup to start the day when I'm indoors or something similar when I'm camping.

Ankle exercises:
- wobble board circles & lifts
- heel walks
- toe stands & awkward pose
- side-to-side lunges
- band stretches

I feel that I've made these exercises a regular habit now. That's a successful commitment.

These exercises are becoming a regular habit. I've added in some additional corrective exercises from my strength coach, physiotherapist, and massage therapist.

This commitment is going well. It's now becoming habit to do these exercises every day. At a minimum I do ankle & wrist exercises. Often I add a longer warm up too.

I've done quite well this week. Each morning I've done ankle & wrist exercises. Since my last report, I've skied, skated, worked out & climbed 3 times. Unfortunately, my ankle and rib are still bugging me. I feel like I'm pushing myself to the point where healing and aggravating are canceling each other out.

I missed one day this week where I felt blah and accomplished very little. Otherwise I've done ankle exercises and wrist exercises every day. The wrist is mostly better and the ankle is slowly improving.

This week I've done two workouts and gone to the climbing gym twice.

Day 18 - basic exercises & downhill skiing
Day 19 - basic exercises & downhill skiing
Day 20 - basic exercises

The last two days I've been in a hostel room with limited space. Now I'll have more room to do better exercises. My ankle is feeling a bit better.

Day 16 - did basic exercises followed by downhill skiing.
Day 17 - did basic exercises again today. I think I hurt my wrist doing exercises a few days ago. I tend to overdo it. I'll continue doing stretches them ramp up the strength building slowly as it gets better.

Day 15 - started the day with some light ankle exercises, roll-outs, band exercises, and wrist stretches followed by downhill skiing.

Justin,
Sorry to hear that you injured your ankle but it sounds like you are being very proactive about your recovery. I would think x-country skiing would be a gentle way to keep fit - as long as your boots give you good support. I have some knee issues that I need to have looked into, but haven't made an appointment with the doctor. Way to go by sticking with this commitment every day.
