I read your journal and you inspired me so much. I need to start moving. I was pregnant and it became complicated and I was forced to stop working out. Then eventually I lost my baby and sadness kicked in. I'm having surgery tomorrow to clean the uterus and my heart still hurts so I haven't exercised one single day for months. But I saw you and the challenge you face and learned I can commit to myself, even if I have to start small, if it's not lots of exercise, but I can still do it and I should be doing it. Thank you for inspiring me. |

I had major surgery 9th of August 2023 on both of my legs.
I agree with the terms of the Stickk commitment.
When I created the Stickk Commitment I was not aware of the intense pain and the overall postoperative recovery period.

Overall… due to my postoperative surgical recover and the intention of this commitment to move everyday
I am really hesitant to say this but….
I think medically speaking it’s best to adjust the terms of this commitment contract. 99.99% of the time I would call 💩 on that 💡 but…
Long story short DailyWalking
I commit to walking daily from home- Coworkly/ yoga
I am adjusting the terms to the following:
I commit to walking/biking daily from home-Coworkly/yoga
As per attached screenshots, I ✅ DailyWalking today by biking from home- yoga class
There is a super slippery slope adjusting commitment contracts…
Act-reflect-plan
Good-better-best
Fail-fail again-fail better
In this case the failure and reflection is teaching me:
Plan a significantly lower ability to walk/be active after any surgeries in the future |
