Final Thoughts:
I ended up doing 59 total sessions to get songs closer to completion and got 5 songs "done" at least up to the mixing and mastering stage. Thats an average of almost 5 sessions per week!
Some weeks I ended up doing the minimum but there were a couple of weeks where I got in 8 sessions. They usually ranged from about 1h30m with some going as long as 5 hours. I would listen to the track, make myself a checklist of items I wanted to accomplish, and work on them one by one until I got through the list....rinse and repeat.
Before RYL I was having a hard time committing to these sessions as I just felt kind of lost and not knowing where to go after my idea beat. There were some weeks before Jan where I didn't even do a single session. A lesson with Spiderhound, as well as some missions and joining the sparring tourney helped me to get better at this. It also helped that I forced myself to do at least 3 sessions a week. The practice of finishing is making it a little easier to know what I need to do every time I open one of these projects and the thought of doing them is much less stressful (if I even have any at all). |

Weekly Report:
Got in a little more than an hour on one of the metamorp cypher beats i made. Added some pads, fx, and made an arrangement. Did some automations and added hats. Changed clap. |

Sessions 1 and 2 done over the last couple of days.
Put in about an hour on each. Adding some parts and FX, automations, making drums and transitions more cohesive. Didn't like the changes I made on Grimey Birbs, so undid some stuff and added some different ideas. |
